Emerald™ Select™ ECO Hot Cup
These cups use a corn-based plastic as a moisture barrier, rather than petro-chemical. This new Poly Lactic Acid-based coating makes the cup compostable in municipal and commercial composting facilities.
Combined with a smaller manufacturing energy requirement, the Emerald™ Eco Hot Cup reduces environmental impact while providing all the functionality of a standard cup. Certified by the Biodegradable Products Institute.

Emerald™ EATware™ Plates
EATware™, or Environment Appropriate Tableware, is made from a combination of bamboo, rice, sugar cane, and willow fibers held together by a proprietary additive called EATplus™. EATplus™ is the world’s first 100% organic additive used in the paper pulp food container industry. It enhances the mechanical properties of fibers with a cross-linking mechanism. These fibers then turn resistant to oil and water even at high temperatures, yet remain highly biodegradable.

Bagasse is sugar cane fiber waste left after juice extraction.

Emerald™ Biodegradable Starch Utensils
Biodegradable Starch Utensils Made from a resin of 80% starch (either potato or corn) and 20% soy or other vegetable oil. Suitable for hot foods up to 200ºF. Biodegrades in approximately 18 months in home composting systems.
